Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

And you say, “THIS IS AN ANIME YOU PUT IT IN THE WRONG SECTION!”

I did not do that.

The OP to this anime is actually a full song, I think this video is a link to the shorter version. This one of my favorite songs, due to the creepy atmosphere the writer has been able to create. In addition to this, the song is quite catchy. I seem to enjoy songs which contain a certain uniqueness to them, and this seems pretty uniqe. Listen to it!

Soothsayer – Buckethead

My favourite song by Buckethead! An instrumental. In this live version he makes a mistake but its still the most awsome video on youtube (i think slightly better than the studio version, not sure). Buckethead plays a wide range of musical styles, and because of it is sometimes disliked because people have only listened to a few of his 38 albums (those are only his solo ones!):

Wikipedia

38 solo albums and performed on over 50 more. He has also made a guest appearance on 44 different albums from various artists. His music spans across diverse areas such as thrash metal, funk, electronica, jazz and avant-garde music.

Although a multi-instrumentalist (playing guitar, bass guitar, banjo, keyboards, ukulele, organ, violin, clarinet, saxophone, recorder, drums, gong, and piano), Buckethead is best known for his electric guitar playing, characterized by diverse playing styles spanning thrash guitar, fingerpicking, and slap guitar. Guitar One voted him number 8 on a list of the “Top 10 Greatest Guitar Shredders of All Time”.[2]

Some other songs you may like from him are:

  • Welcome to BucketheadLand – Metal (on the album “Giant Robot” (only a certain version of giant robot and another album (can’t remember which one)).
  • Jordan – Famous on guitar hero but you can download it legally so go DOWNLOAD IT (not on any albums)
  • Whitewash – “The album was recorded for Buckethead’s mother as she was ill with colon cancer and he wanted to make an album she would enjoy listening to whilst recovering.[1].”
  • Big Sur Moon – (on the same album as the Whitewash album (Colma)

Cry For you – Andy Timmons

Steve vai style song (i think lol)

The song of the count? – mrmagoo312

kay so this isnt serious but it’s still good…

One Response to “Music”

  1. Wow. Great selection! I’m a guitar instructor from the states and am thrilled to see the heart of good playing lives on beyond our borders.
